Not too long ago lightweight contender Kain Mu'Nail took on the number one contender in the lightweight division, Mark Neil, to determine who would fight for the championship later in the evening. The fight ended near the end of the first round with Neil locking in a guillotine.
"I'm pretty pissed right now to be honest but hey thats how this sport goes sometimes. I was pretty confident heading into this fight but in the back of my mind I knew he had an experience and training advantage but I didn't really let that bother me. We came out to some good striking which I got the better of and things were playing right into my favor. We clinched, I caught him with that big elbow and I said there its done...on his way to the ground Mark locked in that guillotine and thats all she wrote. It was my fight to lose and I lost it as far as I'm concerned, from carelessness. It was a good performance and I think we gave the fans what they wanted. I'm not a ground fighter and I could care less about submissions, if that gives me a disadvantage then I really don't care. I give the fans what they want and this isn't one of those fights you walk away from with your head down. Good job to Mark on the win but I'll be back no doubt, I look forward to getting some more experience with some of the other contenders and getting back in the race in the future."
