ECL 8: R.I.P. Colm Murphy Main Card Re-Cap
MW Bout - Richard Neil vs. Dirty Sanchez Dirty Sanchez started out in the ECL with two dominate win both via Submission and looked like a promising star in the ECL. But it went all down hill from there. Losing his next three fights and needed a win. His competitor was Richard Neil, who he already fought and beat. It started off with a little clinch action, with Dirty getting the better of it, so Neil went for the takedown. Dirty is then cautioned for a headbutt to Neil. Neil takes down Dirty and goes into Dirty's open guard. Dirty switches to the rubber guard after a guillotine attempt. Neil improves to the side mount position and looks for a submission. Neil locks in the side choke and wrenches it in and Dirty is forced to tap. Neil looked good in that fight and is on his way to Deadpool and the title. Dirty however should considering training a bit harder or giving it up 4 losses in a row is not looking good for him.
LW Bout - John Roscoe vs. Akira Tetsou This was a big fight for both of these guys with the winner getting a title shot right after. Against Randy Keivens. John Roscoe looked promising in his earlier fights and looked like he had a good chance of winning. Roscoe starts the fight off with a devastating right cross. Akira countered with a vicious body shot and low front kick. Akira continues to work the body with punches and kicks. Roscoe goes for the headbutt but the ref didnt see it, and then got a takedown. Akira locks in a guillotine but Roscoe slips free and lands a series of monster shots, ITS ALL OVER!!! Wait no John McCarthy reverses the call. Akira then lands a roundhouse punch. Roscoe gets the take down but Akira manages to get back up after just landing several strikes. Akira works the stand up, and they clinch up, and all of a sudden FLYING OMOPLATA!!! Akira wrenches it and wins the fight. Roscoe was not happy he says he already won. But thats the call and Akira goes on for the title, both will meet again and for the title for sure.
LW Title Bout - Randy Keivens vs. Akira Tetsou This is the first ever LW title fight, with the favourite Randy Keivens going up against the ever so proving Akira. After Akira last fight he has to have some great confidence but as well must be very tired. For the first round Akira looked phenomenal, he wanted to stand and thats what they did, when Randy would try and take him down, he couldnt, Randy would try clinch he couldnt. Akira did what he wanted, working the jabs and kicks. Second round Randy picked it up, and got the takedown he was looking for. Akira got up again though looking unstoppable, but Randy overhead right, oh Akira is hurt, and is down. Randy followed Akira to the ground and went for the submission, but Akira reversed it and was in Randy's half guard, put in a crippling heel hook and it was over. Akira showed he was nothing to take unserious and he should be the champion for a while, he even put Randy into retirement.
MW Title Bout - Chink McAllister vs. Wade Wilson Chink came into this fight 5-0 and looked like he would be unbeaten for a while, but could he do it? Chink started off very aggressive landing good shots, Deadpool took him down. Chink looked gor several guillotines but Deadpool slipped out of them all. Deadpool gained rear mount and through combinations. Punch, elbow, punch, elbow, and its over, Chink lost! Marvelous performance by Deadpool, giving him the title, Chink will definetely want to redeem himself on this lose, he was the favourite and that may have lost it for him, coming in too cocky is not good, will they fight again? We'll see.

PAGE 3Wade Wilson talks to us after his title win over Chink McAllister. After the ECL 8 card the MW divsion was completely flipped over with the ever so dominant Chink McAllister taking a loss the the new champion Wade Wilson. Marky Mark: Wade Wilson, or shall I call you Deadpool? Deadpool: Either is fine, but my fans call me Deadpool.Marky Mark: How you doing man? Deadpool: I'm doing great, Mark. Riding high after winning the title. I told the company the second I was signed on, I'm going to be a star. I'm going to run roughshod over anyone in the ring and I'm going to impose my will. I'm the DOMINANT Ground and Pound fighter in ECL and it's going to stay that way.MM: So how is training at Camp Oddball going? Deadpool: Going well. Got my good friend Weasel there, helping me work on my striking. I'll tell the truth, I'm not a stand up expert like a few of the guys we got out here. I'm not gonna lie, I'm not going to be winning any stand up wars any time soon. But I know that, so wrestling against a bigger guy like Marc O'Neil helps me work my takedowns.MM: When do you think you'll defend your belt first, and who will be your opponent? Deadpool: To be honest, I'm not really sure when I'll be defending the belt. I know that I'd love to be in the ring every single week... but I understand that sometimes that simply can't happen. But I tell you what, if you thought the match against Chink was impressive, wait until you see what I've got planned next...As far as future opponents? I've said before that I'd give Chink a rematch whenever he wanted. He's an impressive fighter and I consider it an honor to have fought him twice. The rest of the division is solid... I'd like to face Neil, Henderson, and of course "Killer" Kieth.MM: Well I am certainly excited to see you defend that belt. You came into this fight the underdog, how does it feel to come out on top? And for that matter, how does it feel to come out on top of the division? Deadpool: It feels great. I tell ya, I worked long and hard to erase my first loss and I feel like I did that. And being at the top of a stacked division feels good. I know I'm a hunted man now, but the hunters also know that the only time they've got a chance to win, is when we're both standing.MM: It was a great fight one we won't forget. I'm sure no one will forget! Talk us through it... Deadpool: Well, starting the match off, I got cocky and faked a takedown. Chink knows that I wanted to get him to the ground as fast as possible... and he caught me looking with a strong hook. I was still hunting for that takedown, so I drove him into the fence and dodged the flying knee... doing my best to just keep him tied up.I knew the fight was mine when I was able to transition the double leg takedown directly into a rear mount. I mean, Chink's submissions are almost infallible but I figured if I could get him on his stomach, the match would be mine. From that point on, it was just about raining down as much pain as I could.MM: If you completely dominated the middleweight division would you consider changing weight classes? Deadpool: I'd consider moving up in a second. To be honest, if my next few matches don't make it out of the first round... I'll ask to have a few HW matches.MM: Jayceon Taylor has been talking about an upcoming kickboxing tournament maybe, would you be interested in joining in on that? Deadpool: Ha ha, have you seen my striking? It's mediocre at best. I excel when I can shoot the takedown, and just start throwing punches and elbows on the inside. But then again, I could use the challenge...
Don't be surprised if you see me on the docket.MM: The Extreme Fighter has been in speculation for a while now, what would you think about being a coach on it? Deadpool: Sign me up man... sign me up. I'm always willing to help out the company, plus fighting and training alongside the future superstars will be a great experience. Plus, maybe a few of them can teach me how to not look like Daffy Duck throwing punches.MM: How have Jayceon Taylor and the ECL been treating you now that you are the champion? Deadpool: They didn't treat me too badly to begin with. I guess now that I've established myself as both a mouthpiece and a champion they're happy to have me out there.MM: Is there anything you want else to be heard? Deadpool: Only if John Roscoe wants to move up in weight and back up his shit talk, I'm more then ready.MM: Well is was great catching up with you and good luck with what looks to be a long, and fruitful title reign. Deadpool: No problem... hey, is the catering truck outside? MM: I believe it is Deadpool, not good stuff for a fighter though.

PAGE 5Xavier Langdon celebrating after his recent victory. Now with the belts in play in the ECL, the champs are looking for some competition, and one of those new young guns is Xavier Langdon. He is currently 1-0, and looks to be a top prospect, if he continues his training and strength in the cage he will be soon at the title shot. Marky Mark: Talk about your recent win over, Hiriyaito Haranokam you both looked to be great up and comers, but you got the better of him. Xavier Langdon: A pretty Jap boy ain’t got nuffin’ on me. Yeah, I guess he a tuff dude, but he ain’t ugly enuff to beat muh ass. I apologize to Mr. Haranoki… or howevah you say it… for not beatin’ his face to da point of ugly. Maybe I’ll see him in da cage again so I can help him be bettah by beatin’ him ugly. If not, maybe he can do it himself?MM:Maybe he can, So how is training going for you? XL: Muh trainin’ buddies scare me. I’m afraid every day when I go to da gym. I got a wrestlin’ dude who beats my ass. I got a boxin’ dude who beats my ass. Don’t get me started on the jiu-jitsu dude. He’s just a lil’ fella that makes me look silly. I try harder in da cage so they don’t give me a better whoopin’ when I get back in da gym.MM: After that impressive win who do you want to fight now? XL: I’ll fight anybody. I’ll fight any time. I need da money in order to pay muh fines for bein’ an idiot. Once that’s paid, I need money for when I’ma be an idiot in da future. You hear that, Jayceon? Gimme fights. [laughs]MM: You dominated Hiriyaito on the ground who is a wrestler, does that mean you are a ground guy, or just like to exploit other fighters strengths? XL: I’ma let you in on my secret, Mark. Ya wanna know why I’m gonna be da best evah? Cuz I’m an ugly mofo! Da power of skill ain’t got nuthin’ on da power of ugly. Dat’s why I’ma be da best.MM: What do you think of the other fighters in the ECL and in the heavyweight division? XL: Da ECL got some tuff dudes, man. You got dat Lama Namawuts-his-face, Terry Neil has a solid chin and then you got dat redneck Johnny Keivens. He’s kinda ugly so dats why he a successful dude. He gonna be a tuff dude to beat.MM: How do you want people to remember you as when you retire? XL: Ugliest ECL Champ evah.MM: How is Jayceon Taylor and the ECL treating you know? XL: He’s muh boy. He ain’t fightin’ no mo cuz he ain’t got ugly. He still a tuff dude and he tuff wit da bizness. I’m happy to be in da ECL and J.T. is a big reason why.MM: Is there anything else you would like known? XL: I just had muh first fight. I got it ovah quickly and I’m still fresh. I’ma be here for a long time. You folks bettah get used to muh mug. Dim da lights, tho. It’ll be easier on da eyes.MM: It was great talking to you, can't wait to see you in the cage again. XL: Thanks, Mark. I’ma run to McDonald’s. Wanna cheeseburger?MM: No thanks man, i gotta stay in shape haha.

ECL 9 Main Card Break Down HW Bout - Xavier Langdon(1-0-0) vs. Marcus O'Neil(2-3-0) This is a big fight for both the winner will go up against Neil or Lama Namanumie at ECL 10 for the vacant ECL HW title. Xavier is pretty new to ECL but showed Jayceon Taylor he is a strong fighter, with a great TKO. Marcus has lost to Lama and the retired Craig Sapp, and will not want to lose this, if he gets this win he will try another shot at Lama, and the title, he has been waithing for this opportunity. Marcus is a stand up sprawl and brawl fighter, Xavier will want to get this to the ground if he wants a victory. Predictions Marky Mark: Marcus O'Neil via 1st round TKO Matt Goldman: Marcus O'Neil via 1st round TKO
LW Bout - Thorstein Matsburg(0-1-0) vs. Kain Mu'Nail (1-0-0) These are two newcomers to the ECL. Kain Mu'Nail is a SoHK veteran and looks to be the favourite. Thorstein begged for this fight, after getting really mad at Kain's win because of an illegal move. This will be a true stand up brawl, and will end quick, without a doubt by a KO. Predictions Marky Mark: Kain Mu'Nail 1st round TKO Matt Goldman: Kain Mu'Nail 3rd round TKO
LW Bout - Mark Neil(2-3-0) vs. John Roscoe(2-1-0) Watch for the winner of this to get a title shot soon, maybe one more win, and they get Akira. These two have not fought yet before. Roscoe likes to stand and box but ironically has won all 3 of his fights via submission. He has never looked like a slouch and this will be a hard fight for Neil. Like Roscoe, Neil has always won by submission, but as well like Roscoe likes to stand up and kickbox. This will be a good even match, and will show all the ECL fans a great war. Predictions Marky Mark: John Roscoe via 3rd round TKO Matt Goldman: Mark Neil via split decision
HW Bout - Terry Neil(2-2-0) vs. Lama Namanumie(4-1-0) The winner of this looks to be getting a title shot, next card and the obvious favourite has to be Lama Namanumie but Terry Neil, does hold a notable TKO victory of the retired Jonny Keivens. Terry likes to knockout guys out, while the mongolian wrestler Lama Namanumie prefers to tap them out. Terry had heavy hands and will look to finish it before Lama can get him down. If the fight doesnt end quick and Lama can get Terry down its a win in his column. Lama has to have the best sub's in the ECL, and Terry can not let him take him down. Predictions Marky Mark: Terry Neil 1st round TKO Matt Goldman: Lama Namanumie 2nd round submission

Page 8Jayceon Taylor at a press conference to talk about the ECL.Marky Mark: Im here with the new ECL president and owner Jayceon Taylor. We are going to talk about upcoming ECL event, a possible team up with kickboxers paradise and The Extreme Fighter, and the recent retirement of the Keivens bros. Well how you doing Jayceon? Jayceon Taylor: Im doing great Marky, its good to get to run a org. its just bad the way i got the ownership. MM: So ECL 10, what you got planned for that? JT: ECL 10 will be big, most fights ever on an ECL card, with all 3 titles on the line. You guys are going to fucking like it.MM: Will we be possibly seeing a TEF season any time soon? JT: Well, they way i have it planned, not for a while, i want at least 20 cards before that, we need to establish the organization before something big like that happens, but it will happen some time in the future.MM: What are your thoughts on a possible team up with the kickboxing organization Kickboxers Paradise? JT: It is something I've been really working hard on to happen. Personally i have a kickboxing backround so it will be fun to do and i can't wait for it to happen, expect to see it with the next few weeks.MM: So how bout them Keivens bros? JT: I dont fucking know what the fuck was up there asses.MM: So why did they leave? JT: Some shit about Keith not fighting for a few cards, and Jonny missing a card. You kidding me does Jonny want to just fight random cans or does he want to fight the best we give him. I try to use ECL 9 as a card to find the #1 contender and he fucking quits, go the fuck ahead, its a waste of a great talent of MMA on those boys. There great fighters and would love to have there talent in the ECL, but if they want to act like that what can i do.MM: I guess your right there, Jayceon. It was great talking to you mate, can't wait to see TEF, some kickboxing and what ever great things you got in store for us good luck Jayceon. JT: Thanks man, ill talk to you anytime man.
